Snow Peak’s Entry IGT was first introduced in 2017. It offered an easy way for newer campers to step in to the IGT system without necessarily wanting to figure out what legs/inserts they wanted.

Its all-in-one package contained 400mm (Ground-Height) folding legs permanently attached to the body as well as 3 inserts worth of veneered wood in various pieces. Offered as a silver finish (though a black one recently was offered as part of the Seppou Festival), it offered almost full IGT functionality.

Today, Snow Peak Minimimachida posted a few photos of a previously unannounced Entry IGT to their Instagram after the product was quietly activated online. While it is mostly unchanged, we can see a few good updates.

The Legs

While the affixed folding legs of the Entry IGT remain, adjustable feet have been added at all four corners for rocky surfaces. In addition to that, the Entry IGT has also received an updated locking mechanism on each leg

The Inserts

Picking up where the festival Entry IGT left off, the updated version offers bamboo inserts instead of dark hardwood. While it retains the 2 Half-Unit and 2 One-Unit pieces. They have also upgraded each insert from veneer to a bamboo plywood. Though we don’t know if they are solid or the hollow core pieces as in the new Light series. Whatever the answer, they will certainly match other IGT pieces much better.

The Frame

Little looks to be different on the new Snow Peak Entry IGT, though the side comments appear to have been swapped from a chrome finished metal to matte aluminum.

US pricing has not yet been announced. But this new version is ¥23,650 in Japan and is available for purchase now.
