Snow Peak has announced plans to open a new Campfield and Land Station hub in Akagi Park, located in Gunma Prefecture, with a launch set for spring 2026. This project, developed in collaboration with Gunma Prefecture, is designed to give visitors a deeper connection to the region’s natural beauty.
The new site will feature a range of camping options, catering to both experienced outdoor enthusiasts and those new to camping. The Land Station will act as a central gathering space, offering local products, dining options, visitor information, and spots to unwind and take in the surroundings.
By bringing these facilities to Akagi Park, Snow Peak and Gunma Prefecture aim to boost regional tourism and inspire more people to engage with the outdoors. The project is part of a broader effort to make nature more accessible while showcasing what makes this area so special.
One of the biggest draws for Akagi Park is its close proximity to Tokyo. Located in Gunma Prefecture, the park is easily accessible via Shinkansen, making it an ideal getaway for city dwellers and tourists looking for a quick escape into nature. With just a short train ride, visitors can leave behind the urban core and immerse themselves in the forests, trails, and open spaces of Akagi.
Set to open in spring 2026, this new outdoor destination is shaping up to be an exciting addition to Japan’s growing camping scene.
