A highlight of each year is the Seppou festival hosted by Snow Peak. Once for the spring, and another in the fall, it's a time when Snow Peak releases limited items consisting of entirely new designs and color-ups of existing products.
The event, held in Japan this year a littler later than normal, is June 7th and 8th. While no release dates for the United States have been announced, expect eager fans to be able to purchase some of these pieces within a few weeks of the Japan date.
While this collection is smaller than years past, Snow Peak is doing something new for the release. Allowing Pre-Orders.
Available to their Royal members (Black loyalty status and higher), this pre-order window will allow the most loyal Snow Peak customers to ensure they get these sought after products. Mosquito Pig Mini Red
A fan favorite, Snow Peak's Mosquito Pig, has enamored kids and adults at camp while keeping the bugs at bay. Designed for the ever common mosquito incense coils seen throughout most of Asia, these traditionally ceramic pigs were updated by Snow Peak with the release of the first model in 2016. That silver pig was then released in black a few years later, followed by red shortly after. Bringing things full circle, Snow Peak released the first silver color pig as a mini version last year. It's red counterpart now also available in the mini size.
Mosquito Pig Mini Black
Just like the Snow Peak Mosquito Pig Mini Red, the black version is a scaled down cousin of its larger counterpart. With the release of these two minis, it brings the total number of pigs produced by Snow Peak to 6.
Paper Shade for Hozuki Lantern
Another re-release from years past, the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern shade for the Hozuki lantern has finally come back. With its metal frame, the piece easily packs down for transport, though for those of us in rainy climates it's likely something that would remain at home.
Deep Sierra Cup Titanium 2025 Spring Edition
A departure from the norm. Where traditionally Snow Peak has released versions of their Mini Backpacker's cups, this year they've modified the 2024 Titanium Deep Backpacker's Cup to be the Spring 2025 version. While those who collect the mini cups may be a bit disappointed, the artwork embossed in the bottom will hopefully more than make up for it.
Folding Flying Disk Set
While not the first time Snow Peak has ventured into play at camp, it is certainly the biggest departure. A soft flying disc with a flexible inner frame allows this to be easily folded and packed down for transport to the park or camp.
Insect Repellant Spray
Another iteration on last years products, this year sees an insect repellant spray being released by the infamous camping brand. Also available as a refill, the natural oils included within promise to keep you bug free during "Blooming Season".
When Will The 2025 Spring Festival Release In The US?
It's hard to say with any certainty at this point when these items may release in the United States. History has shown that we're generally only a couple of weeks behind Japan - however pricing remains to be seen.
