The MACHAON T/C is Tokyo Crafts’ first tarp, designed to create a shared space for connecting with nature and each other. With coverage for 2 to 4 people, it sets up easily—becoming a place to cook, relax, and watch the day pass without the walls of a tent around you.
Inspired by the shape of a swallowtail butterfly, the MACHAON T/C is meant for long conversations, open skies, and the kind of camping that invites you to slow down. Its silhouette is both functional and refined, offering shade and shelter with a light footprint.

A Sincere Commitment to Camping Gear
At TOKYO CRAFTS, we launched our project at the end of 2020 with the concept of delivering “satisfaction beyond words.” After about six months of development, we introduced our first product—the KUBERU fire pit—through crowdfunding, receiving a response beyond our expectations.
The following year, we released the MacLight fire pit, which earned even greater support than our first project. In the year after that, we launched our first tent, the Diafort TC. And last year, we unveiled the Wingfort—a groundbreaking shelter tent featuring a world-first structural design.
We believe 2025 will be a pivotal year for TOKYO CRAFTS. With the goal of becoming a leading outdoor brand in Asia, we are bringing together all our efforts to move steadily toward that vision.

First of all, it looks cool. I used it for Obon and it was great. I recommend it.
I was looking for a tarp made of TC material, and when I
saw that Macaon was on sale, I bought it straight away.
The color (design) is chic and really cool, just like TOKYO CRAFTS, and the fabric is durable, so I think it's great value for money!
The storage bag is large, so there's plenty of room to put the poles in, making it easy to take down.
(The poles aren't included, but the bag is included, which is nice!)
If I were to be greedy, I would have liked it to be a little bigger, since we're a family camper.
However, I bought it for a smaller site in the first place, so I'm very happy!
If a larger size were to come out, I'd buy it immediately lol
I bought this as a set with the Tenbi Shelter. I bought it to protect from the sun and rain during the hot summer months. The color is great, and the fabric is sturdy, just like the one I had before, so it looks like it will last a long time. I highly recommend it!
I had been interested in this for a while, and when I saw it on sale, I decided to buy it. The gray color is the best and it goes with anything! It's compact and can be stored together with the additional poles I bought, so it was very easy to take down.
The other day, I set up this tarp for the first time at a campsite.
Despite the extremely hot weather, it was cool and shaded underneath the tarp.
*I only have a very close-up photo, but the combination with the red poles looked great.
