Part of the initial offering of IGT components, the Cast Iron Trivet was intended as the cook surface for the Gigapower backpacking stoves and joint kit. While an interesting pieces to reflect on, in hindsight it is clear to see this as a stop-gap solution until proprietary IGT stoves could be developed. 

We recommend the Stainless 1 Unit Tray as a modern replacement.

Sand Cast Iron

A process more than 3,000 years old, sand casting uses clay or wax molds in sand to form the cavity that molten iron is poured into. Allowing for detail but often with rougher edges, it is then seasoned with oil for the classic black finish.
