Snow Peak Way is known for quickly selling out each year. What began as a single event in Oregon has expanded rapidly, now featuring four annual events. Only a few years ago, obtaining tickets was relatively straightforward, but increased interest has made securing a spot more challenging. Below are practical steps to improve your chances of getting tickets.
1. Register for the Snow Peak Loyalty Program
Snow Peak released their Loyalty Program last year for the United States. Having originated in Japan, it's quickly become a gateway for die-hard fans to receive early access to releases and special products. And while it will give early access to Snow Peak Way tickets, it also will double your chances of securing them.
Snow Peak Way tickets are released in batches. With Monday being Sapphire and Black, Tuesday is Platinum, Wednesday is all other tiers, and Thursday is a general release. While Snow Peak won't say what percentages are allocated to each batch, having a chance at two batches is better than one.
Simply by creating a Snow Peak Loyalty account, even with no other purchases, you're eligible to try to secure tickets both on Wednesday as part of the Bronze tier, as well as Thursday with general population.
2. Log in Early
Log into your Snow Peak Loyalty account at least 15 minutes before tickets are scheduled to be released. Being logged in early avoids additional authentication steps and reduces the risk of login issues or system slowdowns due to high traffic. This proactive step can make a critical difference in successfully securing your tickets.
3. Load the Event Page Before 10 AM PT
Don’t wait for an email notification. Open the ticketing page several minutes in advance and periodically refresh as 10 AM Pacific Time approaches. High demand often leads to immediate sell-outs, so being ready the exact moment tickets become available is essential. Consider setting multiple alarms or reminders to ensure you’re focused and ready when the clock strikes 10.
4. Clear Your Cart
Before ticket release, thoroughly check your cart and remove any items left from previous browsing sessions. Forgotten items can cause checkout delays, errors, or unintended purchases. A clean cart allows for a seamless and quick transaction.
5. Know Your Preferred Campsite or Cabin
Review all available campsite or cabin options ahead of time and prioritize your choices. Knowing your preferences beforehand allows you to navigate swiftly through the purchasing process, minimizing hesitation that could cost valuable time.
6. Use Apple Pay
If possible, set up Apple Pay on your mobile device before the ticket release. This allows you to complete the transaction in fewer steps, significantly speeding up your checkout process. Avoid manual entry of payment details, which can slow you down and decrease your chances of securing tickets.
Additional Tips for Quick Ticket Purchases
-
Multiple Devices: Use both a computer and smartphone simultaneously for redundancy and better odds.
-
Stable Internet Connection: Ensure a reliable and fast internet connection to avoid losing your chance due to connectivity issues.
-
Practice Checkout: Conduct a practice run to familiarize yourself with the checkout flow and reduce confusion or missteps when purchasing.
If You Miss Out on Tickets
Even if tickets sell out, you still have options. Join communities like the Snow Peak subreddit (/r/snowpeak) or related Discord groups, where members often share campsite availability or offer to split sites. Engaging with these communities can help you still enjoy the Snow Peak Way experience even without initially securing tickets.
Good luck securing your tickets.
