The Takayama Sakasa Kebari is the smallest fly in the Tenkara USA lineup, tied on a size 16 hook. This pattern rounds out the core set of kebari offerings with a more compact option for situations where fish are hesitant or selective.
While tenkara anglers rarely use flies smaller than size 16, this pattern can be useful in pressured waters or when fish rise but refuse to take. Tied in the sakasa style, the fly maintains motion in the water even with minimal retrieve.
