Solid Stake 20 (Typo Model)

In 1996, with the earliest production runs of Snow Peak's now famous Solid Stake line of products, a small batch of the Solid Stake 20 did not get the mold fully cleared during the forging process. This caused one side to read "SNOW PEAI", with the remainder of the "K" being only faintly visible.

Quickly corrected, these pieces are rare not just due to the typo, but important as they're one of the few pieces that can be attributed to those very early production runs.

Miss-Stake

Solid Stakes are stamped and molded on both sides simultaneously. Because of this, the typo is only present on one side of the stake. It's unclear how many were produced before the error was caught, and how many ended up in the market.

Made it to Retail

This example still features the original price tag and item label from when it was sold. At ¥270 (approx $1.80 at time of writing), it was the cheapest option of this new style of tent stake available.
