REI Wabuki Chopsticks

With Snow Peak's introduction to the American market in 1998, just two years after the Wabuki's introduction. The Snow Peak x REI Wabuki Chopsticks were an early collaboration for the brand and US based outdoor industry.

Unfortunately, we have little information about how long these were available for, or where they were offered. A few sets have appeared for sale in both American and Japanese second hand markets, but the packaging design indicates these are a very early model.

Not only does each chopstick feature the REI logo laser engraved opposite the Snow Peak branding, but the wabuki carrying case is also bespoke for this release. With a unique teal material and REI woven label in place of the Snow Peak one, this set represents a unique collaboration between Snow Peak and the American retailer.
