Megochi Scissors (S)

Megochi (Bigeye flathead) fish are a staple for many sushi restaurants in Japan. With sharp teeth and a strong jaw, scissors/tongs like this are used to safely pick them up while fishing.

As a transition-era piece for Carp and Snow Peak, this features a mix-match of branding from packaging to product. While the scissors say Carp, the packaging shows Snow Peak Fishing branding. This is due to an overstock of old Carp product as new Snow Peak branding was being developed.

Snow Peak has had a welcoming relationship with fishing as a form of outdoor recreation since a year after the brand was created. See their current offerings on their website.
