Today, Snow Peak Japan announced that it will open a second retail door in Hiroshima Prefecture on Sunday, September 1st. This location is built in the "NEWCASPA" mall at the south exit of the JR Fukuyama Station in Fukuyama City.
Fukuyama City is known for its warm climate, allowing for camping year round. And like Snow Peak's hometown of Niigata, has a rich history of steel and textile production including renowned denim.
With this in mind, Snow Peak Fukuyama will also lead development, manufacturing and sales of "Made in Fukuyama" products and collections in collaboration with local companies. Apparel items include bags and vests that are made from fabric, sewing and processing directly in Fukuyama.
Gear includes a one-of-a-kind cast iron griddle in two sizes, made in Fukuyama with technology developed for the manufacturing of anchors. The store will also include standard exclusive items like t-shirts, titanium mugs, and sierra cups that evoke the aging of denim.
