Large Interior Space

The ZIZ two-room tent offers an expansive interior, even with the inner tent in use. There’s ample space to set up a table and four chairs, creating a functional dining area within the shelter. The suspended inner tent comfortably fits up to five people—ideal for a family of four. A built-in storage pocket adds convenience for keeping small essentials organized.

Doubles As A Shelter

The ZIZ can also be used as a standalone shelter without the inner tent, making it well-suited for group camping trips where a spacious shared living or dining area is needed.

Classic Architecture

Designed with a stable dome architecture, the ZIZ features five pole cross points that enhance rigidity and wind resistance. This design maximizes interior volume while protecting the space from wind and rain.

Integrated Side Wing Tarps

The entrance on the short side can also be lifted with a sub-pole (such as the NORTHPOLE™ EXTENSION SHORT), allowing for multi-directional access—three sides when the inner tent is in use, and all four sides when used as an open shelter.

Inspired by a Giant

Named after the mythological Ziz—a giant bird from Jewish folklore said to be so large its wings could block out the sun—this shelter lives up to its namesake. With a vast wingspan of its own, the ZIZ provides generous coverage and protection from the elements, creating a shaded, comfortable refuge no matter the conditions. Just like the creature it’s named for, it offers an expansive presence in the landscape—sheltering, strong, and built to endure.

Weather-Ready by Design

Out-frame tents, where poles pass through the fly sheet, often require complex stitching at multiple points—each one a potential entry for rain. To address this, the 2021 and later models of the ZIZ include a rooftop cover as standard. This wide protective layer shields the tent from rainfall and helps prevent water intrusion, while also reducing UV exposure and extending the life of the fly sheet.

Comfort from the Ground Up

The fly sheet features a full-length skirt that surrounds the base of the tent, helping to block wind, dust, and cold air from entering the interior. This added protection enhances comfort across all seasons. As the skirt comes into direct contact with the ground, be sure to clean off dirt and debris thoroughly before storage to maintain performance and longevity.
