The Ukiyo is Tenkara USA’s most compact and lightweight rod to date. Measuring just 14.5" (36.8 cm) when collapsed and extending to 9’10” (300 cm), it’s built for small streams and long approaches. At only 2 oz (56.7 g), it fits easily into a daypack and stays light in hand over extended use.
A key feature of the Ukiyo is its integrated graphite swell grip—the first of its kind in the Tenkara USA lineup. The contoured grip provides tactile feedback while maintaining a minimalist profile. Built with high-modulus graphite, the rod emphasizes sensitivity, allowing the angler to feel subtle takes and water movement more directly. It also includes the patented Keep Your Plug™ system for added convenience in the field.
The rod features a deep blue finish across its sections, with a compact form factor that draws comparisons to the Rhodo and Hane rods—while offering lighter weight, increased sensitivity, and more refined design details.
