Tankara USA's line holder is a compact spool with a foam core to secure the line once wound. Made by Meiho in Japan, it accommodates both level and tapered tenkara lines. The holder can be slid onto the rod handle for transport between locations.
To reduce line twist, continue winding until near the rod tip—this allows the rod to rotate naturally and release tension. For faster storage, wrap the line around the holder directly rather than spinning the spool. Designed for simplicity and ease of use in the field.
