Othello Solingen Hunting Knife
An early knife dating to the 1960s, prior to the first mountain logo appearing but post the trademarking of Snow Peak. One of the earliest pieces in the collection.
The blade, produced by Othello Solingen, measures approximately 6" long with a heavy serration on one the spine. With stag knife scales that show no chips or cracks, and a blunt endplate, it is true to the period it was produced. Made in Germany, it's a blade imported to Japan for its excellent quality.
The sheath, produced by Snow peak is debossed with their script wordmark and embellished in silver. Constructed of three pieces and held together through rivets, it is in excellent condition with no cracks. As with all aged leather, it is still a delicate material and should be treated with care.
We recommend the Field Kitchen Knife Santoku as a modern replacement.
