The Master Shin #58 Paring Knife is a compact, all-purpose blade handcrafted by renowned Korean blacksmith Master Shin In-Young. Forged from repurposed carbon steel—the same robust steel reclaimed from railroad tracks—its small, precise blade takes an exceptionally sharp edge, ideal for peeling, trimming, and the close detail work that larger knives can’t manage.

The handle is shaped from chestnut or oak that has been shade-dried for years to settle its weight, stability, and natural water resistance, giving a balanced, comfortable grip built to last. Each knife reflects centuries of Korean blacksmithing heritage, embodying precision, simplicity, and functional elegance.
