A tried and true method of getting BBQ charcoal up to temp without hassle, Camping Moon designed their Four-Sided Foldable Charcoal Chimney Fire Starter from the ground up to be efficient without taking up too much space. The included grill top means you can also use it to heat a kettle or pot while your charcoal is going.
Folded down, it is small enough that it easily fits into the bag of your packable fire pit or stowed with a 1U BBQ Box. Or just use the included carry bag to quickly transport it to and from camp.
